Infosys implements network utilities system in Seattle

Infosys, the Indian IT major which faced two major allegations last week, came with good news today. Company said in a release that it will be helping Seattle City Light. Seattle City light is the 10th largest public electric utility in United States of America. Indian IT giant,  Infosys Technologies implemented the "utilities network management system" at Seattle City Light. India's second largest IT Company said in a statement that this "utilities network management system" has been developed by Oracle Corp. This new technology will help SCL boost their customer service as it enables real-time information sharing. Now customers can know the cause of outages and service provider can give them with the approximate time of resume of service, with estimating time using the system. 

According to the statement from Infosys Technologies and Oracle, this implementation will help "improving operational efficiency and flexibility, increasing customer service,  reducing duration of outages and integrating data from existing information systems". Seattle City Light has some of the cheapest rates for customers and it serves one million residents in the Seattle, who will now get enhanced service. Last week Infosys was made accused of tax stealing in two cases, one in India and one United States.
